Job Description:

Take birds from hanging belt and hang by both legs into shack

The live hanger position involves the following tasks:

Removing Birds from Hanging Belt:

• Grasp a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg.
• Position the bird with the breast side away from the hanger.

Hanging Birds into Picking Shackle:

• Hang the bird by both legs into a picking shackle.

Production Rate:

• The rate of production for this position will vary.
• The highest production rate expected is 28 birds per minute.

Handling DOA’s (Dead on Arrival):

• Throw DOA birds onto the floor behind the workstation.

Additional Information:

• Safety and Hygiene: Ensure proper handling to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Physical Requirements: This job requires repetitive motion and physical strength to handle birds efficiently.
