Job Description:
Athletic event workers are to provide assistance and support to the athletic department staff to ensure adherence to rules and regulations and the management of our athletic contests. 

Essential Functions:
Responsible for assisting with general event management, including supervision of spectators, officials, opposing teams, coaches, team personnel, and student sections to ensure compliance with rules and expectations.  

• General crowd control
• Ensure provisions for safe and proper conduct of spectators at assigned athletic contests
• Provide security/escort of contest officials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements

Hours:

• Guaranteed 3 hour minimum for each assigned shift
• Shifts and times as assigned by athletic department and are dependant upon sport

Compensation:

• $20 per hour, paid through STS (Substitute Teacher Service)
