Just an hour from world-class attractions like Disney World and Universal Studios, Melbourne offers the perfect balance of career growth, family life, and fun, all in a warm subtropical climate with a relaxed, suburban feel.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>SUMMARY:</u></strong></p> <p>This position requires a senior level person who will work with construction managers, project managers and discipline leaders in planning and coordination of company’s estimating needs in support of at-risk design/build or construction projects as well as our A/E services group.&nbsp; Responsibilities include reviewing proposal drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate or bid.&nbsp; Candidate will be skilled at preparing discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work by CSI Division.&nbsp; Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, prices lists, etc.&nbsp; May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.&nbsp; Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction such as constructability review, plan, and specification coordination.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will possess skills of:</p> <p><strong>At Risk Construction Estimating</strong></p> <ul> <li>Detailed takeoffs</li> <li>Construction strategy development (developing competitive means and methods)</li> <li>Design to Cost estimating (check pricing) during design on DB projects</li> <li>Subcontractor interfa
