Senior Software Engineer / Backend & Data | Remote

360dialog GmbH, a fully-remote Berlin-based tech company in the telecommunications industry, has been exclusively selected by WhatsApp (Meta Inc.) to provide access to and develop solutions on top of the WhatsApp Business API, and we managed to grow our customer base to the number one WhatsApp BSP (Business Solution Provider): our solutions have been used by major brands such as IKEA, REWE, PepsiCo, Carrefour, KFC, Pizza Hut, and 40,000 customers worldwide. Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for our and messaging platform and products
• Collaborate with other engineers to create clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Design, Build and Maintain scalable backend systems that handle high traffic (thousands of req/s) and are ready to scale up 10x
• Develop solutions for large datasets and help design data pipelines
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to solve complex problems
• Foster the company culture day-by-day

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Backend
• We also hire for a Senior Data Engineer:
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing a scalable data ingestion & processing system
  • Plus: experience with Real-time data ingestion & processing and/or Real-time analytics
• Languages: Python, Go (or C++/Rust and willing to learn Go)
• Environments: GCP, Kubernetes
• Architecture: prior experience with highly scalable systems, autoscaling systems, and/or with growth-oriented startup contexts
• Strong experience in designing and building systems, and deep understanding of software architecture, software design patterns and coding principles
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
