Job Summary
Position performs routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, trimming, mulching, etc. utilizing mowing machines and other equipment necessary to accomplish required work tasks.
Job Duties:
Maintains grounds, including watering, seeding and maintenance of all landscape features and grounds plantings such as grass, trees, shrubs, and flowers and ensures prompt removal of trash and debris. The position also performs routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, trimming, mulching, etc. utilizing mowing machines and other equipment necessary to accomplish required work tasks. Position also maintains grounds equipment and is responsible for snow removal and other duties as assigned by supervisor including facilities maintenance assignments when weather or other conditions prevent grounds work.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma and one year of related work experience. The position is primarily an outdoor position which will require nearly constant exposure to sunlight and the elements. Within 6 months of the hire date, the successful candidate shall test for and obtain their Pesticide Applicator’s License from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. The individual will be required to work in both extreme heat and cold. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
