 JOB  DESCRIPTION: DELI Manager                        ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

• Helps Achieves desired gross profit.
• Helps Achieves desired level of productivity.
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Helps Ordering product according to established guidelines.
• Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues, interviewing, hiring, Helps with training, performance evaluation, discipline, discharge, etc.
• Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts.
• Sends out correct prices on all merchandise according to departmental guidelines
• Make sure all deli employees are Following proper wrapping and packaging procedure; including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap &/or container
• Make sure all deli employees are performing basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Ensure coolers, freezers, and cases maintain appropriate temperatures
• Ensures all deli employees are trained on using required tools and equipment in a safe manner and follows all safety policies and procedures
• Ensures all deli employees are trained on cleaning all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment
• Trains deli department on proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods & storage cooler maximum low temperature, -10 degrees).
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy
• Perform all job functions with limited supervision
• May be required to decorate cakes
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds
• Other duties as assigned
