The Opportunity:
The Learning Experience Designer will create learning experiences that encompass effective adult learning strategies for Velera, our financial institutions, and their account holders. Develop relationships across the enterprise to understand learner needs and serve as a consultant for the business on effective learning deployment. Complete learning design projects and lead instructional design initiatives through the application of best practices in blended learning. Understand client needs and wants, and fit solutions into the existing infrastructure and learning ecosystem.
Day in the Life:
- Design and develop technical and soft skill learning solutions based on learner needs to achieve desired learning outcomes
- Create online learning materials and assessments using authoring and content management tools, such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia
- Create instructor-led and on-the-job training materials leveraging MS Office products
- Collaborate and consult with key project stakeholders to analyze learner needs and deliver optimal learning solutions
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for new instructor-led classes
- Follow consistent project management practices and monitor projects for adherence to standards, quality, scope, schedule, and budget; communicate the status of initiatives and any issues that may impede a successful or timely conclusion.
- Collaborate with content SMEs and stakeholders to ensure learning goals are developed, and follow up with insights and results that validate solution effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Technology, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Three (3) years of training and development experience, including needs analysis, task analysis, scenario-based program development, training delivery, and performance consulting preferred.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Experience translating written content into visual descriptions, graphics, and simulations required.
- Experience writing storyboards and scripts for use in eLearning required.
- Knowledge of instructional design best practices, such as needs assessment, analysis, behavioral objectives, and competencies.
- Teaching skills via traditional classroom training, virtual training, and eLearning; Understanding of adult learning principles; ability to learn new technology and apply it to business needs.
- Ability to design effective performance measurement and evaluation strategies.

$77,100.00Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
