The Senior Electrical Engineer leads electrical design and integration activities for parcel products and automation systems. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems that support high-throughput parcel handling operations. Work includes the development of motor control panels, device layouts, electrical schematics, and compliance with applicable code requirements. The role supports the mass deployment of Kӧrber products to multiple customers. This role may also support project engineering efforts across system installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Your role in our team
- You will develop comprehensive technical documentation packages, including electrical drawings, schematics, bills of material, manuals, integration guides, and interconnection diagrams
- You will design electrical systems to support control and system functionality, including device layouts, power distribution, motor control panels, circuit protection, and system power requirements
- You will define electrical and network integration requirements, including control network architecture and system interfaces across technologies
- You will apply electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, UL, OSHA) to ensure compliant and reliable system designs
- You will develop RFQ packages and create electrical equipment purchase requisitions, detailing the scope of work, system quantities, and equipment specifications
- You will lead electrical design reviews and provide regular status updates to internal teams and external stakeholders
- You will travel up to 10% for site evaluations and project assessments
Your profile
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field is required
- You have gained five (5) years of experience in the warehouse and distribution industry, with a focus on electrical systems
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot design challenges, perform root-cause analysis, and develop practical engineering solutions
- You have experience designing electrical system layouts, schematics, power distribution, and motor control panels for conveyor or material handling systems using AutoCAD or similar tools
- You can develop electrical designs using mechanical system data (e.g., equipment layouts, motor horsepower, throughput requirements)
- You have experience with industrial control systems and communication protocols, including Ethernet, Profinet, EtherCAT, and Profibus
- You have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, project management, installation teams, and customers throughout the project lifecycle
- You demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to design reviews, communicate technical decisions clearly, and resolve issues in both design and field environments
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- You can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset
