To support management in the coordination, consolidation, evaluation and monitoring of a specific IT domain.

What to expect:

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a team of approximately 8-12 infrastructure engineers who specialize in Openshift/Kubernetes, Red hat Linux, Virtualization technology, Storage Arrays, and systems backup. As the Team Lead, you will manage people, set objectives, and ensure the team follows established guidelines. You will also encourage a culture of excellence and continuous learning, promoting knowledge and experience sharing among team members. Additionally, you will actively participate in the day-to-day operations, utilizing your expertise in IT infrastructure engineering to provide top-notch infrastructure services to our internal customers. This includes coordinating the development of platforms, automation, and DevOps strategies to enhance our services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of infrastructure engineers assigned to specialized squads
  • Recruit and assign engineering resources
  • Set objectives and conduct performance appraisals
  • Apply up-to-date techniques and current trends within the team
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Cultivate connections with individuals involved in the project
  • Orchestrate feedback collection and foster a positive feedback culture
  • Act as a hands-on member of the squad
  • Apply your expertise in IT infrastructure engineering to deliver infrastructure as a service.
  • Help orchestrate the engineering of platforms, automation, and DevOps acceleration
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical service incidents

What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering/Software/DevOps Engineering
  • Strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and a collaborative approach
  • Proven experience in technology lifecycle management
  • Previous experience managing a team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

The estimated salary range for this position in Manassas, VA is $113,330.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $210,470.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity, as well as a comprehensive benefits program.
