Series Buyer - Raw Materials

Your Contribution: 

• Address supplier issues that affect daily plant operations
• Manage the supplier communication process
• Coordinate change notices with the supplier
• Responsible for commodity strategy formulation and execution
• Responsible for cost reduction initiatives and support of PPV report
• Communicate and coordinate supplier issues with MAHLE Purchasing Team
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates per the commodity
• Position includes up to 25% domestic and international travel

 

Your Experience and Qualifications:

 

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
• At least 3 years experience in Purchasing or other Supply Chain related field in an automotive environment (cross-functional exposure preferred)
• Specialized skills in negotiation, financial cost analysis and market analysis Ability to read blue prints and specifications required
• Strong time and project management, problem solving and continuous improvement skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, casting)
• Focus on deadlines and target objectives
• Strong team player, ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Up to 25% International and domestic travel by plane and car required
• Solid MS Office skills required
• SAP experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form with all levels of the organization
