About the role

Job Description

OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team in the Austin area. We are seeking a highly organized and dependable team player to assist our team in managing the front desk, providing excellent customer service, and producing quality work for our customers. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:    

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Greeting visitors and guests – direct to appropriate person/meeting room. 

  • Phones - answering calls and transfer/forward as needed; use VM/EM/cell/ speed dial list. 

  • Mail – open, date stamp, sort, and distribute.  If time critical, email recipient. 

  • Receive incoming packages (UPS, Fed Ex, GSO, Barker Blue, Costco and Couriers) and notify recipients. 

  • Code Fed Ex and GSO account summary for region. 

  • Assist marketing with shipping of holiday cards and gifts. 

  • Assist with conference room reservations and set-up for meetings and events.  

  • Order lunches and direct catering vendors to appropriate room for set-up. 

  • Assist with ordering office supplies, groceries and replenishing the office/kitchen. 

  • Clean espresso machine once daily. 

  • Provide administrative support as needed. 

  • Liaison with facilities manager and janitorial service; promptly reporting any maintenance issues. 

  • Directing deliveries to the appropriate recipients and review DOL to verify where deliveries go. 

  • Running weekly reporting. 

  • Data entry and other miscellaneous office management tasks including maintaining conference rooms, filing, scanning, etc. 

 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Professional and pleasant demeanor. 

  • Able to identify and resolves issues. 

  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently. 

  • Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment. 

  • Excellent listening and communication skills. 

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Positive interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. 

 

Education and Experience 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Construction supply and equipment industry knowledge a plus but not required. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Position is in-person with hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with an hour lunch break from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Workdays are Monday through Friday. 

  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. 

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
