Job Overview
Operator V Trainers are subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for leading training, certification, and advanced skill development. They drive consistency across teams and serve as a key link between production, quality, and engineering.
Shift: 1st: Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm (Arden)
Key Responsibilities
Training, Certification & SME Leadership
• Train, coach, and certify operators on products, processes, equipment, and inspection requirements
• Provide hands-on instruction to support consistent execution of approved work instructions
• Mentor operators in advanced technical processes, troubleshooting, and quality standards
• Validate operator skill development and certify readiness using skills matrices
Training System Ownership
• Support creation, review, and improvement of training materials, standard work, and visual aids
• Document training completion, competency observations, and qualification sign-offs accurately and on time
• Provide input into skills matrices, certification criteria, and training processes
Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Promote adherence to standard work and reduce variation across operators and shifts
• Identify training gaps and partner with quality, engineering, and leadership to resolve issues
• Support troubleshooting of production and quality issues
Leadership & Floor Support
• Provide floor-level leadership and support team lead coverage as needed
• Influence team performance through coaching, feedback, and technical leadership
• Mentor other trainers and less experienced operators
What your background should look like
Minimum Qualifications – Training & Leadership Capability
• 2 years fiber assembly manufacturing experience required
• Demonstrated experience training, coaching, mentoring, and certifying operators
• Ability to explain advanced technical processes and adapt training approach
• Experience using skills matrices, certification processes, and training systems
• Ability to document training and competency assessments accurately
• Ability to provide constructive feedback across routine and complex skill development
• Ability to serve as SME for processes, equipment, and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications – Training & Leadership Capability
• Experience mentoring other trainers or serving as a technical leader
• Experience contributing to training materials, standard work, and qualification processes
• Experience resolving complex training gaps, readiness concerns, or recurring performance issues
