How will you make an impact in this role?
EFP&A is a corporate finance team whose main stakeholders are the senior leaders of the company including the CFO, head of Corporate Planning & Analysis, Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The team is responsible for delivering information and insights that help steer the enterprise. While the team owns deliverables on a standard monthly/quarterly cadence, no two months are the same as the team is focused on the ever-evolving storyline of the company’s performance and aspirations. Team members across all levels have high exposure to senior leaders, making a culture of innovation, storytelling and diverse thinking key to the team’s success.
This Vice President role leads the Result, Outlook and Competitive Analysis for the Enterprise.
Impact you’ll make:
- Own AXP Executive Committee results presentations, including story development, trend analysis and insights
- Create the narrative, analytics, and scenario modeling surrounding the Enterprise Outlook
- Own Executive Committee presentations on the outlook and related decision points needed from senior leaders
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to AXP CFO and head of Corporate Planning on financial results and trends in support of key internal and external meetings (e.g. Quarterly Earnings calls, Investor Day, Board of Directors meetings)
- Perform Enterprise-level competitive intelligence through deep understanding of public sources
- Test the potential of Generative AI in evaluating the competitive landscape
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly for senior audiences
- Lead and develop a high performing team

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with AXP planning systems and processes
- 7-10 years of finance / strategy or related experience required
- Consulting and/or strategic planning experience a plus<
