It allows us to bring a significant contribution to the Worldwide Electrical Energy context. We deliver mission-critical solutions that drive the energy transition, focusing on Energy Transmission, Distribution, Asset Management, and Market Management to shape the current and future energy environment.<br/><br/>What You Would Work On:<br/>Our teams support software solutions for R&amp;D, services, and support for Electrification Software’s products while liaising with stakeholders and customers all around the globe.<br/>At GE Vernova’s Electrification Software business, you will join a high-performing team delivering global projects that support decarbonization and drive the energy transition. You'll receive guidance from colleagues and leaders as you develop your skills and understanding of the business. <br/><br/>This position is responsible for designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety. Has the vision to integrate it across multiple systems. This position works independently and is seen as a technical leader. The position is responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance in alignment with the product/application roadmap.<p></p><p></p><p></p><h1><span><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></p><p>In this role, you will:<br/>• Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development m and infrastructure<br/>• Provide guidance to developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM<br/>• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements &amp; vision<br/>• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse<br/>• Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Sr. Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses &amp; Product Managers<br/>• Leads impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy.<br/>• Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks.<br/>• Expert level skills in design, architecture and development, with an ability to take a deep dive in the implementation aspects if the situation demands.<br/>• Leads the architecture and design efforts across the product / multiple product versions and is an expert in architecting custom solutions off the base product.<br/>• Expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice when necessary – as a value offering.<br/> </p><p><b>Education Qualification</b></p><p>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience.</p><p></p><p>Technical Expertise:</p><p><u><span><span>Mandatory</span></span></u></p><ul><li><span>Proven knowledge of Java technologies and frameworks (Spring);</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with ORM technologies (Hibernate) and Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL);</span></li><li><span>Good understanding of SDLC, source control tools (GIT), DevOps;</span></li><li><span>Experience with performance optimizations, web-services (REST and SOAP), secure coding, microservices, design patterns, multi-threading, caching, message queues, authn/authz techniques;</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with cluster deployments, load-balancing, HA, redundancy;</span></li><li><span>Comfortable with development best practices (peer review, estimation, design, documentation, testing);</span></li><li><span>Strong English language skills, both spoken and written.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><u><span>Nice to have</span></u></p><ul><li><span>Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, OpenShift, Helm;</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with GWT;</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of workflow engines / BPMN (Flowable);</span></li><li><span>Java profilers;</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with the CI/CD tools;</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of ActiveMQ, Nginx;</span></li><li><span>Scripting: Bash, Batch, Groovy;</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of front-end development (Angular, TypeScript).</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Why join our team:</b></p><p>GE Vernova is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to the continuous improvement and the wellbeing of its employee.  We are offering fully customized development and training programs all throughout the year, on top of a LinkedIn Learning subscription and full access to GE Ver
