Job Summary: 

 

• This role will be working closely with multiple business functions e.g. Plant Operations, Safety, and Environmental to understand their business needs and translate their challenges into technical solutions. This will include, but is not limited to:
  • Design & develop both short-term and long-term solutions
    • Build and optimize web/mobile applications for evolving business needs
    • Provide support for one or more internal web applications
    • Maintain communication with team members
    • Code and script applications
    • Perform ongoing maintenance
  • Support commercial off the shelf applications (working with vendors)
  • Identify opportunities and gather requirements to deliver value for business units
  • Automate reporting and repeatable tasks when applicable
  • Serve ad-hoc data requests as needed

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management, departments, and users to identify requirements and specifications
• Gatheri business requirements/analysis to create new software programs and systems
• Produce code based on requirements
• Test and deploy programs and applications
• Troubleshoot, debugg, maintain, and improve existing software
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
• Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects
• Support COTS platforms and engage with vendors to drive development priorities for enhancements and production support items
• Proactively identify issues and challenges

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid home office and open office environment.
• Some overtime is required as special projects arise.
