Food and Beverage Systems Specialist - Full Time - Detroit

THE JOB:

The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. As the Food and Beverage Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining all POS terminals, training team members on all POS procedures, and conducting POS audits to protect company assets by uncovering any fraudulent activities including theft. By understanding the proper use of our POS systems, you will ensure proper use while assisting in protecting our company assets.

• Maintain the InfoGenesis System, to include documenting all knowledge of how the system works, reporting and everyday procedures. Programs all items and prices in the InfoGenesis system for all F&B dining outlets and bars.
• Train appropriate staff on proper POS standards.
• Perform Point of Sale audits uncovering performance issues and theft.
• Perform review of POS reports daily, weekly and monthly.
• Work as a team with Security Investigations, Finance and Food & Beverage. ACT as a SME with the integrated POS/video software and lead train the trainer in the area.
• Create. Implement, and update department POS policies and SOPs; communicate new rules and procedures to Food & Beverage.
• Work directly with Inventory Control Department to maintain any new menu items or changes a food and beverage outlet may have.
• Work with property chefs in the day-to-day maintenance of their menus.
• Work with a diverse team of enthusiastic people in a FUN and fast-paced environment to achieve company goals.
• Responds to and addresses all guest requests, questions, and concerns in a timely manner.
• Own the guest experience in any situation by using problem solving skills to WOW the guest.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Two years previous experience using POS systems in the Food and Beverage Industry
• Previous experience auditing and analyzing food and beverage and financial reports
• Proficient knowledge using Microsoft office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint
• Has a high energy, positive attitude, and likes to have fun while doing their best work
• Is a team player
• Is welcoming and engaging
• Is self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time
• Displays excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills
