Use Your Culinary Skills to Nourish Recovery
Great food is part of the healing process. As a Cook at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you'll prepare fresh, high-quality meals that fuel patients on their recovery journey. Your work ensures that individuals in treatment receive nutritious, well-balanced meals in a clean and safe environment.
What You'll Do
As a Cook at RCA, you will:
- Prepare meals following standardized recipes, ensuring quality, taste, and proper portioning.
- Maintain food safety standards, keeping all meals at the correct temperature and following proper handling procedures.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, properly storing ingredients, sanitizing surfaces, and keeping work areas organized.
- Monitor kitchen equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors for prompt maintenance.
- Work alongside kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently.
- Follow all food service guidelines to comply with federal, state, and corporate regulations.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in food preparation or a commercial kitchen.
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple meal orders.
- Attention to detail to ensure consistency in portioning, taste, and presentation.
- The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
