Responsible for supervising the Assistant Behavior Consultation-ABA, Behavior Health Technician-ABA and monitoring compliance with adopted best practice standards/treatment models; Provide child, caregivers, 1:1 staff support and BHT-ABA psycho-education regarding the child’s diagnosis and learning style and behavioral interventions; Provide guidance using knowledge of the current techniques proven to be effective with this population through the utilization of behavioral analytic principles and interventions; Write, review and revise the treatment plan in accordance with the Commonwealth IBHS regulations; Review and update the Assessment; Utilize standardized assessment an screening tools.
This position requires evening and weekend hours. This position will mainly be focused in the schools clustered in the zip code of 19111 and specific assigned high schools.
Requirements: Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; ability to evaluate cases using treatment plans, progress notes, Critical Incident Reports, etc.; ability to identify clinical issues and determine appropriate interventions in cases; writing of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs); knowledge of ABA interventions and experience in writing behavior plans; experience in completing structured tools related to ABA interventions; thorough knowledge of related standards, regulations, and procedures; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office software; demonstrated supervisory skills.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year related experience required, including experience working in the child welfare, education, and mental health systems. Experience with ABA required.
Education: Licensed in the Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services AND one of the following:
- Certification as a BCaBA
- Minimum of providing one year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 college credits in ABA
- Minimum of one year of full-time experience providing ABA under the supervision of a BCBA
