Role Overview:
Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Sr. CNC Machinist/Programmer. This position is intended for a self-driven professional looking to expand their abilities to include machining consumable goods for the DMLS process as well as metal 3D printed components.
Responsibilities:
· Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment
· Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
· Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line
· Quote machining work for internal and external customers
· Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results
· Uphold a high degree of a work-area cleanliness (daily and weekly) and organization
· Explore opportunities to add value to the organization
· Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on various shop equipment
· Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks and controls of the machine shop operations and activities at the site
· Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements
· Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs
Requirements:
· 4+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components
· Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware an asset using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines
· High School Diploma
· Experience in SolidCAM, MasterCam or NX PowerMill an asset
· Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience)
· Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints
· Strong experience with turning/lathes
· Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys)
· Experience with OKUMA and Makino multi axis CNC equipment preferred
· Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills
· Exposure to working within a facility quality systems and codes (ex. ISO 9001, AS9100)
