The Nursing Operations Project Manager provides strategic and operational project management support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and nursing leadership team. This role is responsible for driving initiatives that enhance nursing operations, optimize workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Nursing Operations Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating cross-functional efforts, tracking performance metrics, and supporting quality improvement and infection prevention programs within the nursing division.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program Coordination & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with the CNO to plan, implement, and monitor strategic projects across the nursing division.
- Develop operational plans, policies, and SOPs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Track and report on project progress, ensuring timelines, compliance, and deliverables are met.
- Act as liaison across departments to support cohesive nursing operations.
- Maintain program documentation, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Administrative & Executive Support
- Support nursing leadership with agenda development, meeting documentation, and project follow-ups.
- Draft project reports, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of nursing leadership.
- Ensure timely execution of key operational and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage timelines and follow-ups for critical nursing division initiatives, ensuring accountability.
- Facilitate the implementation of quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Data Management & Compliance
- Collect, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to nursing workflows, staffing, and patient outcomes.
- Assist with regulatory and accreditation readiness, including audit documentation.
- Recommend process improvements based on performance and compliance data.
- Support quality improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Communication & Liaison Role
- Serve as primary project contact for nursing leadership across clinical and administrative departments.
- Represent the division in cross-departmental meetings to ensure project continuity.
- Support workforce development through onboarding and professional development planning.
- Project Management & Process Improvement
- Lead and coordinate projects focused on clinical operations, patient safety, and staff engagement.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and assist with implementing best practices.
- Manage feedback collection tools and performance evaluation processes
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other web-based applications.
- Required to produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
- Must be highly organized and able to interact with individuals from very diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to be flexible and work independently is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in health centers, hospital and/or academic administration.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.<
