Software Engineer

Agot is a leading AI startup that is changing the way the world’s largest restaurant brands serve customers. Our technology is on the cutting-edge of computer vision, deep learning, and AI. We’ve raised $16M in seed funding to solve some of the most difficult and prevalent problems in the food industry. And we have pilots with the most recognized restaurant brands in the world, many who are invested in us.
Our Engineering team is building a scalable, edge-based AI product already deployed in many locations around the world. We’re looking for seasoned Backend Engineers to lead the charge on scalable, beautiful architecture and services. Some of the tools we use right now include Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Rust, and more. We are a distributed team, and open to hiring the right person anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure services to deploy and power our product.
• Work with our deep learning modeling teams to rapidly prototype applications.
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for scalability and testability.
• Solve challenging problems with cutting edge design and algorithms.
• Work with smart and motivated teammates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Improve tooling, testing, automation to ensure production-quality backend deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher - Computer Science or equivalent field
• 5+ years strong meaningful individual contributor experience as a software engineer
• Advanced knowledge of Python, exposure to Rust and C
• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Are comfortable with Linux / Unix environments

Bonus

• Understanding and exposure to computer vision algorithms.
• Working knowledge of ROS/ROS2.
• High performance computing including accelerated computing (GPU/TPU/FPGA).
