Position Overview:
Directs operationalizing the strategic goals and initiatives under the leadership of the CNO. Has clinical and operational oversight of all nursing activities under their assigned areas, as well as specific enterprise-wide services that may be assigned, ensuring that nursing resources are deployed with a 24-hour accountability for the provision of safe, high-quality, clinical care for the patients of Capital Health. Works closely with the other members of the facility senior management team to direct the administration and advancement of patient care services. Utilizes emerging trends, issues, technology, and an understanding of the organization's vision, mission, and goals to direct the service delivery, performance improvement, and evaluation of nursing/clinical standards of performance.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:BSN with a Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s degree with an MSN Degree. Doctorate degree in education, nursing, or healthcare related field preferred. PA and NJ nursing licenses required.
Experience:Five years of experience requred that inclues three years at a director level role and an additional two years in a nurse manager role. Experience must include overseeing the operation of several departments.
Other Credentials:Registered Nurse - NJ,Registered Nurse - PA
Knowledge and Skills:Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
Special Training:Must be a certified nurse relevant to assigned disciplines. Recommended to have NEA certification within five years of assuming role.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, implements, and evaluates strategic goals and plans.
- Drives planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care programs and services, assuring appropriate resources for the delivery of care including Emergency Management Services.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to create short and long-term strategies that will positively impact patient experience, patient throughput and patient outcomes.
- Foster a team environment by promoting collaborative partnerships and demonstrating accountability.
- Assures a measurable, outcome focused, and systematic approach to care delivery through appropriate outcome measures development and reporting.
- Collaborates in the development of nursing policies and procedures.
- Develops plans and implements and evaluates performance against targets for division financial and operational benchmarks.
- Oversees budget preparation and in managing costs by continually seeking data that will identify opportunities and take action to eliminate non-value costs.
- Actively participates with others in planning activities associated with design or implementation or renovation or new construction of patient care areas.
