Founded in 1951, Iron Mountain manages billions of information assets, including business records, electronic files, medical data, emails and more for organizations around the world. </p><p>Visit www.ironmountain.com for more information.</p><p></p><p><b>Primary purpose of the role:</b></p><p>​</p><p>This role is to support and enhance software asset lifecycle practices across the organization.</p><p>The role is responsible for executing day-to-day software asset management activities, ensuring license compliance, tracking usage, and helping to optimize software spend—particularly across SaaS and cloud-based applications.</p><p>The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with software licensing models and asset management tools and is comfortable working across departments including procurement, finance, legal, and IT operations.</p><p></p><p><b>Your role in our mission: </b></p><ul><li>Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of SaaS software assets, including onboarding, renewals, usage optimization, and offboarding.</li><li>Monitor and maintain accurate SaaS license inventories, usage data, and subscription entitlements using SAM tools and vendor portals.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to review contracts, negotiate renewals, and track entitlements for compliance.</li><li>Implement and maintain governance standards, policies, and processes for SaaS licensing, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security policies.</li><li>Identify opportunities to optimize SaaS spend, consolidate tools, and reduce shadow IT.</li><li>Analyze usage data and trends to make recommendations on license reallocations, downgrades, or deprovisioning</li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SaaS licensing models (user-based, consumption-based, tiered pricing, etc.).</li><li>Support internal audits and external vendor true-ups with accurate reporting and compliance documentation.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in SaaS asset governance by adopting best practices and automation wherever possible</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of software &amp; SaaS licensing models, including user-based, tiered, subscription, and consumption-based pricing.</li><li>Proficiency with SAM platforms and SaaS management tools, such as:</li></ul><p>○ ServiceNow SAM Pro</p><p>○ Flexera</p><p>○ Snow Software</p><p>○ Torii, Zylo, BetterCloud, or similar SaaS optimization tools</p><ul><li>Strong understanding of SaaS platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, Workday, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Google Workspace).</li><li>Experience with usage analytics, license tracking, and optimization techniques for cloud-based applications.</li><li>Monitor software usage across the organization to identify underutilization, waste, or compliance risks.</li><li>Familiarity with procurement and contract terms specific to SaaS</li><li>Ability to manage SaaS <span>onboarding/offboarding</span> processes, license provisioning, and renewal cycles.</li><li>Proven ability to work cross-functionally with IT, procurement, finance, legal, and business stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to translate complex license data into clear business insights and recommendations.</li><li>Advanced skills in Excel
