About the Department
Our phlebotomist plays an important role in providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services to all outpatients.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Will exhibit problem solving skills of a complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control Monitoring, specimen processing, phlebotomy, along with customer service
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new procedures, products and equipment used in laboratory medicine to act as a resource and provide clinical expertise
- Performs preventive maintenance in assigned areas to keep equipment in optimal working order
- Phlebotomist: Will perform and report tests of waived and moderately complexed labs, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries.
Position Type
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling with opportunity to work 12-hour shifts if desired, rotating clinic hour shifts, and every 5th weekend.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certificate preferred but not required.

- Demonstrates strong communication skills when working directly with providers, leadership, coworkers, and assistants regarding patient or testing concerns.
- As a part of a team-oriented laboratory crew who prioritize coworkers as well as patients, the phlebotomist will assume the best in others and collaboratively problem solve as a valued member of the team.
- Utilizes AIDET model of customer service to calmly and pleasantly interact with patients and families.
