The Opportunity 

The Flock engineering organization requires a Technical Project Manager to bridge the gap between embedded, cloud, mobile, and quality teams to drive successful delivery of software products. This role will lean heavily into cross functional alignment, especially in the cloud, mobile, or integration engineering space, facilitating Agile/Scrum practices where applicable. The position is also responsible for leveling up Flock’s process and tools to improve upon our ability to quickly deliver solutions to our customers, even as our product portfolio and engineering teams grow substantially.

The Skillset 

• Experience partnering with engineers to ensure the various functional teams have a detailed plan for the timely delivery of device deliverables

• Ability to develop plans that are properly aligned with key stakeholders, including product management, operations, and leadership to ensure dependencies are fleshed out and project goals are clear

• Capable of identifying gaps or risks and moving quickly to mitigate those issues. At Flock we take ownership and resolve problems, never assuming ‘someone else is going to take care of it’

• Ability to foster a great project environment with communication at its core - you will facilitate team meetings, keep the team on priority tasks, document assumptions and decisions, wrangle slack conversations, and anything else it takes to ensure consistent alignment and forward progress

• Have a technical background that provides the foundation for navigating our engineering environment with ease

• Have strong experience with project management software, including the Atlassian portfolio and Jira specifically

• Have proven experience as a member of a development team that has shipped consumer facing software and preferably, IOT electronic devices that utilize Android

• Have proven experience with Agile development and the Scrum process, Scrum master certification preferred

• Execute project plans with regular meetings, close each week’s priority deliverables, communicate results
