Your main responsibilities

The General Manager Large Projects will provide management of company’s activities and functions relating to NI Large Projects as well as driving large projects to a successful completion. The General Manager will oversee the NI activities (sales and operations) in the same assigned geography, as well as serve as the local connection point as deliver P &L for the related New Installations activities.  

Develop and execute annual regional business operations plans and budgets for Large Projects for the territory’s financial and non-financial objectives and support the implementation of territory quality and operations initiatives. 

Develop and execute a strategic, sustainable plan to deliver high quality service and grow loyalty with customers across the Territory

Ensure coordination and execution on all product safety responsibilities/initiatives in partnership with Field Quality Excellence organization including execution of proper testing and technical training

Serve as the geographic focal point for New Installation Large Project activity included providing project resources where required and ensuring P & L oversight. Ensure all Project Managers maintenance Change Notices, Project Tasking and Customer meetings

Manage and implement the Top Range Excellence (TREX) requirements w/in the group. Focus on results and eliminating overruns

Conduct weekly New Installation meetings to help maintain progress and ensure timely project completion

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and influential industry consultants through personal contact and staff assignments

Grow portfolio New Installations sales and value above market standards, to increase service base

Develop and execute market plan to direct the sale of company products and services for orders entered objective relating to price, volume, mix and market share across the various district load centers

Manage, mentor and lead a team to deliver and drive their KPI’s using appropriate performance management methods

Plan, schedule and assign workload requirements interfacing skill levels of field and administrative personnel to the needs of the operation through PMS job elements, activities and performance reviews

Initiate procedures and leadership practices to create a business environment for participative management; pro-active labor relations with local business agents; maintain high morale of subordinates and be strong, aggressive supporter of business unit’s management philosophy and practices

Set expectations for Field Technician engagement by ensuring the completion of on-time installations, Safety quality walks, route reviews, performance reviews and ride-alongs

Manage field activities for parts inventory, company tools, vehicles and other fixed assets for most cost-effective results

Responsible for managing net working capital and overseeing appropriate asset management measures and billing procedures

Responsible for legal interface of procedures like collection efforts and contractual disputes Drive process and tooling compliance across the Territory

 

What you bring

BA/BS Business / Management / Engineering 

Possess overall knowledge of product and product application; installation and service techniques and procedures; ability to understand financial statements; legal awareness to contract terms and conditions

Ten to fifteen years in various assignments within the Company, in the Elevator industry, or in another service-oriented business

Experience managing a full P&L for an industrial company

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. SAP experience is preferred
