Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the Patient Transportation department to ensure effective and safe patient flow.

Responsibilities:

Supports special projects and business analysis as requested. Establishes and reviews departmental metrics to identify process improvement opportunities Develops collaborative interdepartmental relationships to assure safe and effective patient flow.Assists in developing and monitoring departmental budgets, and regulatory compliance. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies/purchases, monitors usage and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Additional Job Information:

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of supervisory experience with an Associate’s Degree required. One (1) year of Patient Transportation experience preferred.Five (5) years of supervisory experience with a High School Diploma. One (1) year of Patient Transportation experience preferred. Other Information: Education/Work Experience: For Associate’s Degree, equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirement. Equivalency for degree: High School plus five (5) years of supervisory experience.
