What We Are Looking For:

You’ll set a high bar for design quality and consistency, partnering across disciplines to ensure we create products that are not only usable but exceptional. You’re energized by building from scratch, passionate about systems thinking, and curious about emerging tools and technologies that can improve how we work and what we deliver.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and in office Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce designs to help the product team understand the desired customer experience, including wireframes, high-fidelity concepts, flows, prototypes, etc. 
• Create intuitive and consistent interfaces and interaction layers using best practices, current web trends, and all available tools to augment the user experience 
• Coordinate with product managers, executives, and other stakeholders to incorporate specific design requirements, visual treatment, and organize information
• Able to take feedback of your designs and explain the “why” behind your designs 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s Degree in design, HCI, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
• 1+ years of experience in an individual contributor role on a product design team
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and designs  
• Experience designing and delivering website product features for consumers  
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to launch features  
• Experience conducting user research and testing throughout the product lifecycle 
• Experience developing and evolving design systems 
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint 
• Strong visual and interaction design skills with a strong portfolio 
• Evidence of strong academic performance in college
