Experienced Security Engineer

About the role 💭We’re growing rapidly and expanding our team of full-stack engineers. With this role, we’re looking for someone to build out security related product features in areas around anti-abuse, rate limiting and account takeover detection. We are open to candidates who have built security features or product features for a company in the security domain.
Successful candidates will love staying up to date on the latest in cloud product security, authentication and identity domains. 

Responsibilities ✔️

• Design, develop, and implement security features and enhancements for our software products.
• Scope projects and document decisions with a developer-focused in mind
• Understand market needs and map decisions to strategy
• Debug user issues and adapt products to remove points of friction
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security best practices
• Work directly with leadership on greenfield ideas
• Help recruit and assess future engineering team members

Qualifications 🌟

• 5+ years of industry software development experience
• Intellectually curious, independently driven, and passionate about great products
• Expert-level skill in at least one programming language and familiarity with others
• Familiarity with security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Knowledge of web application security, network security, and authentication mechanisms.
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001)
• Our stack is TypeScript, React, and Postgres (bonus points if you are familiar with these, but it's not required)
• A growth mindset, high emotional intelligence, and strong communication skills
• Bonus: Experienced in B2B SaaS, developer tools, or a related industry

The annual US base salary falls within the range of $150,000 to $250,000. This range does not encompass the full spectrum of benefits such as equity, health insurance, vacation time, and paid parental leave. Final compensation will be determined considering various factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
