Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused <b>Patient Access Coordinator</b> to join our Primary Care team in the LaGrange area.</p><p>As a Patient Access Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call our office. If you’re passionate about customer service, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, we’d love to meet you.</p><p></p><h2>What You’ll Do</h2><p>In this role, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.</p></li><li><p>Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.</p></li><li><p>Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.</p></li><li><p>Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.</p></li><li><p>Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.</p></li><li><p>Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.</p></li><li><p>Complete ongoing education and training requirements.</p></li><li><p>Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>What We’re Looking For</h2><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of medical terminology.</p></li><li><p>Strong computer and data entry skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Why Join Baptist Health Medical Group?</h2><p>At Baptist Health Medical Group, our team members are at the heart of everything we do.
