Position Description

As a member of the Global Compliance Team, the Global Channel Partner Business Compliance Analyst will be the Global Process Owner, responsible for establishing an end-to-end process demonstrating global oversight of the Channel Partners program.

This position requires significant project management skills, cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration as well as engagement, including interactions with all levels of staff and management including senior leaders, steering committees, operational stakeholders and subject matter experts.  

 Areas of specific focus will be:

  • Global Coordination - Ensure that business processes serve every region and meet applicable business and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Global SME, Audit Support- Work in collaboration with the Supplier Quality Group to demonstrate compliant coverage related to Purchasing Controls, specifically the Purchasing Process, Supplier Quality, Outsourcing and Channel Partners, in both internal and external Quality Audits
  • Global Training- Ensure initial assignment and periodic review of role-based training appropriate to partner-type and responsibilities in compliance with established process
  • Partner Scope and Coverage Changes- Oversee, in collaboration with regional leadership, that Channel Partner scheme and coverage remain appropriate and compliant with business and regulatory compliance requirements including objective evidence of partners meeting commitments, adding/removing countries based on Global Trade or other requirements, development of new partner types and/or model changes
  • Partner Agreements/Contract Management- Manage Channel Partner Agreements, in collaboration with Legal, Regulatory and Quality resources to ensure requirements are met including local language requirements, addition of appropriate country/region authority requirements, approval requirements and adherence to Illumina’s standard business policies and practices
  • Partner on/off boarding process- Work in collaboration with regional leadership to ensure Channel partners are on/off-boarded or decommissioned in compliance with established process

About you:

  • Articulate and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep understanding of multiple disciplines (e.g., audit, risk, compliance, training)
  • Strong interpersonal skills suitable for interfacing with a variety of cross-functional and cross-regional collaborators  
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to clearly convey priorities and relevant information to a broad spectrum of global audiences
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and flexibility to adjust quickly to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and establish a global and sustainable program for oversight of Illumina’s Global Channel Partners
  • Identify, assess, resolve, and/or escalates potential business/regulatory compliance and/or product quality risks
  • Oversee communication and timely resolution of audit findings, Quality Investigations (QIs) and/or Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
  • Monitor Channel Partners to ensure that Illumina maximizes its investment in third party dealers and that such arrangements protect the brand

Prepare and present status reports for projects/performance to Global and Regional management as required

Education/Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience required (e.g., working in a regulated medical device or life-science environment)
  • Working Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations and MDSAP required
  • Advanced Excel and/or Tableau required

Travel:

  • International travel may be required
