The ideal candidate will be a proficient and innovative problem-solver with a strong background in Rust and a deep understanding of data standards. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable and efficient systems that handle complex data, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code using the Rust programming language.</li> <li>Collaborate and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork to build high-quality software.</li> <li>Assist in establishing best practices for development, testing, and deployment.</li> <li>Mentor junior team members, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively.</li> <li>Design and build scalable solutions leveraging RESTful APIs and web services.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, or other relevant subject, or equivalent work or open-source experience.</li></ul><ul> <li>1 - 2 years demonstrable experience with Rust AND 5 years experience with data interoperability / image processing. </li> <li>Proficient in the Rust programming language in a production environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with medical data interoperability standards, such as DICOM or FHIR.</li> <li>Good foundation of image processing, image compression, and data serialization concepts.</li> <li>Experience with version control systems, such as Git.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.</li> <li>Solid debugging and testing skills.</li> <li>Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.</li> <li>Available to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours.</li> </ul><h3>Desirable Skills (optional)</h3><ul> <li>Experience in Python.</li> <li>Knowledge of web frameworks like Axum and web APIs (e.g., REST, RESTful, GraphQL).</li> <li>Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, TLS encryption, and DNS.</li> <li>Exposure to computer vision techniques (traditional or machine-learning).</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>A chance to be part of an exceptional team driving innovation in healthcare.</li> <li>A competitive salary in a supportive work environment that fosters work-life balance.</li> <li>Opportunities for professional growth and development in an international setting.</li> <li>A culture of collaboration and inclusion, which is fundamental to our ethos.</li> <li>Occasional travel to our HQ in Switzerland, immersing you in our core operations and company culture.<br/><br/> </li> </ul>
