JMU Dining is looking for a liaison between campus dining and the university, by planning and promoting dining events. We are looking for influential students who use direct, high-touch, non-traditional interaction to solidify branding.
Job Responsibilities
The Event Planning Ambassador's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Create exceptional experiences by planning and deploying events at any of our 28 dining locations across campus, including set-up, program management, and break-down
• Implement tactics to drive engagement and participation during events and activities
• Gather customer feedback and assist with goals to increase guest satisfaction
• Support general marketing initiatives through promotion and communication plans
• Conduct research on customer satisfaction through surveys
• Any other reasonable requests as detailed by management and in tandem with the events coordinator
• Assist throughout the year with several Meal Plan activities to sell meal plans and create advocacy for the dining program. Examples include tabling events, student orientations, move-in week, etc.
• Execute fielding customer satisfaction surveys

Qualifications
• Must have a team player attitude, be dependable, reliable, and respectable; exemplify leadership qualities and professionalism with excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills and a creative mindset are a must
• Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform work, such as agility, dexterity, and long periods of walking, standing, bending, and carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 10 pounds or more.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
