Location: 100% Onsite
Must Have Embedded Software Experience
Primary responsibilities include:
· Leading a team of embedded software engineers
· Responsible for departments Performance Evaluations, Promotions, and Compensation
· Responsible for Departments Budget and reporting any budget variances and Return-to-Green plans
· Capable of managing multiple product lines, with significant team size, within budget and schedule
· Responsible for directing all SW leads on the product lines
· Able to develop a SW schedule and provide software inputs to an Integrated Master Schedule
· Responsible for reporting SW project status (Earned Value input)
· Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
· Capable of providing technical direction to team
· Capable of a software architecture
· Capable to present to customer for PDR, CDR, TIMs, etc.
· Responsible for development and/or review of SW estimates and SW inputs for proposals, as well as yearly calibration of estimates.
· Responsible for working with other disciplines on project in order to meet project milestones
· Capable of developing SOW for SW subcontractors
· Capable of leading SW TWGs to achieve Process Improvement goals
· Responsible for mentoring junior engineers/leads
· Participates with other senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
· Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.
· May develop corporate and/or organizational policies.
· Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
· Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
Experience:
SW Project Director (minimum of 15 years of Embedded SW development experience plus 8 years of Embedded SW Management experience)
Must be a U.S. citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
