DAF Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) was pursued to respond to SECAF request for a clear enterprise understanding of risk. ERM addresses a fundamental organizational issue: the need for enterprise risk information to flow up, down, and across organizational structures to improve the quality of decision-making. The Goal of proposed DAF Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program is to provide the capability to take identified risks through an enterprise-wide holistic process providing a capability to produce a cohesive integrated risk picture across the Department of the Air Force.

The Enterprise Risk Manager will be responsible for assessing the current state of the program, developing a plan of action and milestones, and executing the plan to provide a repeatable methodology that will enhance DAF ERM and OMW capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with various DAF stakeholders, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams of business consultants to implement enhanced DAF ERM and OMW capabilities.
  • Asses the current state of ERM capabilities, determine key pathways across methodology being used that can be improved, and develop an implementation plan to align future ERM framework with goals of the organization and its’ stakeholders.
  • Develop transformational concepts related to DAF Risk Management Council (RMC), risk assessment, and risk inputs to the OSD SoA (Statement of Assurance).
  • Expand development methods, execution of case studies, and dashboard prototypes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 9+ years experience
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proven experience developing and implementing proactive approaches to risk management, ensuring the organization is prepared for potential risks and has strategies in place to minimize their impact.
  • Knowledge and expertise in government policy and regulation that drive changes in the ERM capability environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DAF ERM AFI 90-802 and Operational Material Weakness processes
  • Experience with DAF Risk Taxonomy
  • Experience with OMB Circular A-123 requirements and application in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) capability development
  • Experience in AFI 90-802 or similar
  • Experience with DAF Senior Management Council (SMC)

The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
