About the role

Administrative Assistant - Construction Office

The Administrative Assistant works closely with other Administrators and field personnel to organize files, payroll data entry, and prepare reports and documents. 

Hours:  Monday - Friday,  6:30am - 4:00pm

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Orders
  • Billings
  • Expense Reports
  • Answering Phones
  • Corresponding with Owner Representatives, Subcontractors & Government Agencies
  • Record Keeping / Filing
  • General Office Duties
  • Accepting Deliveries and Mail Sorting
  • Assisting the Project Manager with project-specific tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Spectrum a plus
  • Background in smart sheet a plus
  • Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information
  • Must be able to communicate with others

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in either construction or utilities industries

 

 

Pre-Screen

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

  • Driver's License preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Rare: (less than 10%): walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, seeing distance, climbing on/off a truck, climbing, lifting over 10-50 lbs., depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional: (up to 33%): standing, stooping, body twisting, gripping, reaching, range of motion, climbing stairs
  • Frequent: (up to 66%): sitting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, reading, hearing-speech range
  • Continuous:(up to 100%): seeing
