Webasto Roof Systems Inc., seeks PMT Sr. Expert for a position in Auburn Hills, Michigan to drive regional and departmental alignment and improvement in Operational Processes and SAP System for Warehouse Management (WM) Supply Chain operations within Operations (PMT) continuous improvement and material flow for Webasto Production Systems (WPS) (Lean manufacturing) methodologies, under direction of management; to be responsible for internal assessment for SCM to ensure plants following WPS principles; supplier Integration – schedule agreements and inventory fulfillment, optimize inventory levels, lean solutions for Supply Chain fulfillment for supplier orders; be responsible for material and information flow – develop analytical tools for calculating packaging and warehouse space optimization. Provide automation – regional lead for AGV project development within Supply Chain: Development of integration and installation in plants for routing and operation through the plant and the manufacturing line for supply chain needs. Responsible for regional Process Lead for SAP WM Operational changes for the Americas under direction of management. Drive Plant Key User development activities in WM – within Operations, such as Roles and Responsibilities, Training and Execution. Develop Plant key user and colleague competency for SAP WM Supply Chain functions within their operational department including cross-functional areas: Processes and SAP System. Work cross-functionally between departments on business processes and SAP System to promote and optimize continuous improvements with use of best practice. Provide plant/production support for SAP Processes and System including problem solving related to the above. Identify Process/SAP issues. Develop and evaluate improvement options collaboratively and implement solutions accordingly. Review, recommend and implement process revisions based on needs and best practices, under direction of management. Support of technical change management by advising and implementing ‘to-be’ solutions for SAP processes. Align future required changes with IT into an agreed delivery plan which meets the regions requirements. Use knowledge of SAP WM Modules. Warehouse optimization – implementation of external and internal warehouses. Ensuring the design, operational control and optimization of processes and packaging within the supply chain including digital integration.
 
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, a related degree, or a foreign equivalent. Webasto will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials, and/or professional experience determined to be equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree by a qualified evaluation service. Qualified candidates must also have at least 1 year of experience as a SAP Expert or a substantially similar position working at a Tier 1 Automotive supplier performing the following duties: planning the supply chain/logistic process; creating and maintaining SAP data integrity at all times including for material, customer and vendor master data, scheduling agreements, transportation management; stocks, and bill of materials; streamlining of the planning and ordering process without line stoppages; and using SAP WM modules, ASN/EDI Inventory Control and Lean Manufacturing.
