Field Technical Supervisor HVAC

The Field Technical Supervisor is responsible for evaluating, training, and continuously developing the technical skills of our branch’s field associates. Working collaboratively with the Goettl Academy, you will deliver both classroom-based and in-the-field training programs focused on safety, technical proficiency, operational excellence, and professional development.

This role is crucial to associate growth, reducing workplace injuries, increasing technical skill levels, improving client satisfaction, and enhancing the overall employee experience at Goettl.

What You'll Do

• Assess technical skills of field associates through observations, field evaluations, and manager feedback.

• Deliver customized technical training on:

  • Safety

  • Core technical competencies

  • Goettl operational procedures

  • Professional appearance standards

• Implement and update learning plans and advancement pathways for associates.

• Conduct hands-on, in-the-field continuous training sessions.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of training and adjust programs based on results and feedback.

• Stay current with industry trends, building codes, compliance issues, and service innovations.

• Lead monthly branch safety initiatives and safety-related training.

What You Bring

• 5+ years' experience in HVAC service- residential required. 

• Strong understanding of modern and traditional training methods, including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and mentoring.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and business communication tools.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a variety of physical environments (indoor/outdoor, temperature changes, near machinery, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• 6+ years’ technical field experience.

• Superior knowledge of hands-on and modern training methodologies.

• Collaborative approach to both individual and team learning development.

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
