This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.- Serves as the STL for strategic development and implementation of an enterprise program to manage Process Risk, Control and Optimization in alignment with government, industry and internal requirements.
- A working knowledge of AS-9100, AS-6500, AS-9103, AS-9145 and related SAE documents is required.
- Deeply skilled in development and implementation of Process Maps (PMAPs), Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans, Capability Indices and Statistical Process Control (SPC), and other key deliverables of the Process Risk, Control and Optimization Program.
- Responsibilities include identifying, developing and delivering training packages applicable for deliverables across all levels and groups within the organization, as well as a strategy for roll-out that supports customer and company goals and requirements.
- A working knowledge of the overall company structure supporting Risk Management related to Mission Assurance is required: Systems Level FMECA, CIRA, DFMEA and how these relate to the downstream manufacturing process.
- Must have a strong background in Structured Problem Solving methodologies (8D, Toyota A3, DMAIC, etc.) and is preferably a certified practitioner in Six Sigma, Shainin, Kepner-Tregoe, or other recognized programs. The Principal serves as an SME across the organization in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts and is capable of leading complex problem solving efforts. A certification in Lean Principles equivalent experience is highly desired.
- Minimum of 15+ years cross-functional experience and demonstrated leadership in the areas of Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Research and Development, and Manufacturing Supervision.

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
