About the role
Tech Firefly is teaming up with a national health care provider company to hire a Mobile Applications Manager.
Position Type: Full-Time W2
No C2C, must be able to work on W2
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Must be flexible to work hybrid on-site)
As a Mobile Applications Manager you will be responsible for:
- Provide technical guidance and support for career growth to the team.
- Lead and guide a group of engineers in project and technical aspects.
- Manage daily objectives, priorities, trade-offs, risks, and team performance.
- Promote technical excellence and enforce best engineering practices such as design and code reviews, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
- Enhance system performance, security, maintainability, and scalability of products by developing and improving infrastructure.
- Collaborate with partner teams to resolve issues and facilitate seamless workflow across teams.
- Recruit and nurture talented individuals.
- Foster a positive work environment and inspire engineers to exceed expectations.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with upper management regarding important issues and decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on, proven software engineering experience delivering scalable web applications.
- Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and databases (ORM, SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and deployment.
- Proficiency in Semantic Markup, AJAX, JSON, and JS libraries.
- Experience in managing software release build and deployment processes.
- Leadership experience in Agile teams and projects, delivering quality software iteratively.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle cloud-based hosting services and external hosting partners.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to make informed decisions and exercise judgment.
- Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Capability to strategize, plan, and implement change.
- Supervisory skills, including coaching, mentoring, training, and evaluating work results.
- Stay updated with new technologies and changes in the field.
