Copper Basin Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking a full-time, experienced veterinary technician/assistant. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarians and technicians, comfortable in rooming patients, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, able to use laboratory equipment, understands the importance of client education, is a positive and supportive team player, and strives to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry and able to remain calm in a high-stress environment.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant
• Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
• Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Ability to multi-task efficiently
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive and supportive team player
• Able to life 30 lbs unassisted or over 30 lbs with assistance
