Remitly is looking for an experienced Internal Communications Manager who cares about culture and is as passionate about our mission as we are. We believe that engaged employees create products and experiences for our customers, and that one of the keys to an engaged team is strong communication. In the Sr. Internal Communications Manager role, you will guide a range of communications across multiple channels with a goal of keeping employees connected to our vision, change and People Team communications, and helping each team member understand how their individual role contributes to the broader company objectives.
This role reports to the Director of Internal Communications and is based in Seattle, WA.
You Will:
Lead change management communications
Partner with The People Team to develop annual communications roadmap and employee communications
Provide expert internal communications counsel to the executive leadership team and effectively partner with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Develop and execute innovative internal communications strategies that engage our global employee base
Simplify communication channels and drive adoption of new communications tools
Use human and people-centric language grounded in our culture
Provide counsel for reactive or crisis communications, as needed
Create metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach and engagement
Track and report communication strategy effectiveness to internal stakeholders
You Have:
Minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience in strategic communications
Demonstrated internal communications experience within a global company
Experience with change management communications and advising organizational leaders
Proven experience building and executing on robust communications plans from ideation to measurement/evaluation
Experience writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
Ability to think and communicate clearly, and work backwards from ambiguous requirements to generate clear, concise communications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and to working autonomously
Experience producing relevant content for diverse internal audiences at varying levels across and organization
Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders
Experience creating content: digital, written, video, or visual communications material
Strong attention to detail
