About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Assistant to join our Critical Care Research Center! This position will support current clinical trials within the Critical Care Research Center (CCRC).  The Center oversees all research activities for the Emergency Medical Services program, the Emergency Department, the Burn Center, the Surgical and Medical Intensive Care Units, Hospital Medicine, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology and the Adult and Pediatric Level 1 Trauma programs.  Primary job duties will include screening for potential study patients, data entry, database maintenance, literature reviews, correspondence with regulatory entities, and other research-related job duties as assigned.  The research assistant may assist the research coordinator and research project manager with study subject identification, recruitment, and enrollment. The research assistant will also provide administrative support to the current research staff.  This individual will report to the Clinical Research Supervisor and will receive daily direction from the supervisor and research coordinators.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with 1-2 years of college coursework in a medical related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six (6) months of patient care experience in a clinical setting.
  • Previous clinical research experience desired but not essential.
  • Current licensure as a health care provider preferred (MA, PCA, EMT-B, or higher).
