Job Description – Part-Time Sanitation Associate (non-warehouse)
The Sanitation Associate (non-warehouse) is responsible for the general custodial, cleaning and sanitation related job tasks in all non-warehouse areas including but not limited to break areas, restrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, office areas, lobby, elevators, stairwells, hallways.
The Sanitation Associate (non-Warehouse) must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general custodial, cleaning and sanitation related job tasks, as assigned, in all non-warehouse areas including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
- Follow the daily cleaning schedule as assigned by the supervisor.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms. This includes but is not limited to the cleaning and sanitizing of urinals, toilets, sinks, counters and countertops, mirrors, sweeping and mopping of floors, and restocking paper dispensers.
- Clean and sanitize break areas and kitchens to maintain sanitary conditions. This includes but is not limited to the cleaning of tables, chairs, counters, kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Remove trash from offices and other non-warehouse areas.
- Clean windows in conference rooms, management offices, etc.
- Dust, disinfect, and polish surfaces and furniture.
- Immediately report unfixable and/or unsafe conditions/acts to ensure the safety of all staff.
- Complete all tasks timely and accurately, and document the completion thereof on the daily sanitation log.
- Safely use and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with product labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Maintain inventory of sanitation chemicals and supplies.
- Complete all work according to company health and safety policies.
- Understand and comply with all applicable company policies, safety policies and food safety principles.
- Comply with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, etc).
- Attend all required company meetings.
- Assist Culinary Staff with food preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Schedule: Monday through Friday
- 9:00AM to 2:00PM
Pay: $18.20/Hourly
Qualifications
Education/Training
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements. - Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). - Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous sanitation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
