About the role

Director of Human Resources responsibilities include managing all functions of Human Resources at the property level in such a way as to ensure that the rights of our Team Members at all levels and those of the Company are honored and respected, and that we maintain a working environment in which everyone is inspired to achieve excellence. In addition, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for ensuring that the Company is in compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations and that all Team Members uphold Company standards, policies and procedures.

 

Description: 

Interact with President and Executive Committee members on “big picture” issues involving our Team Members at all levels, lending advice and counsel to them on their own interpersonal and/or performance challenges. Lead, motivate and develop the property Human Resources team. Review all involuntary terminations of Team Members (beyond introductory period), and stay abreast of all sensitive Team Member relations issues, lending support and direction as needed. Determine property HR needs and develop department goals and action plans in accordance with property and overall Company goals. Interface with Corporate HR and sister Station Casinos, Inc. properties to ensure consistency of Corporate-wide philosophies and policies, and that pertinent property-wide issues are being addressed at a Corporate-wide level. Maintain fiscal control of protection of Company revenue through benefits, turnover and litigation control. Spend ample time walking the property and talking to Team Members while keeping a pulse on various issues that might be occurring on the property. Maintain departmental budget according to policies to include ongoing expense review, approval and tracking, and preparation of data for monthly P& L’s. Audit and monitor the work of the Human Resources team on a day-to-day basis. Assist with all Human Resources functions as needed. Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years as an Training Manager with extensive Human Resources experience; at least three (3) years in management preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Bilingual ability highly desirable.
