Senior Research Engineer / Scientist - Ion-trap chips (all genders) // Job-ID: 176-1

We are looking for an experienced research engineer leading the development of ion-trap chips (ITCs) at SAL. You will become part of a highly motivated, international team committed to realizing the building blocks of next generation quantum technology. Your work will be embedded in an international collaborative network.<br/><ul><li>Coordinate ITC development and fabrication across different research units and cleanroom facilities.</li><li>Execute small-scale fabrication and prototype for ITC devices in cleanroom facilities utilizing 200 mm wafer-level technology.</li><li>Coordinate testing of developed ITC devices.</li><li>Co-develop the design, fabrication and technological advancement of ion trap chips.</li><li>Perform quality control and documentation for the statical process control.</li><li>Communicate and report research findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.</li><li>Communicate and align with industry and academic partners </li><li>Project management</li><li>R&amp;D project acquisition</li></ul><ul><li>PhD in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering or similar</li><li>3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and trapped-ion quantum technology</li><li>Experience in industrial environment is an asset.</li><li>Proficiency in English.
