Job Description

AECOM/Hunt has an immediate opening for an experienced electrical superintendent with experience in Airport infrastructure construction.  

  • Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
  • Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
  • Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations.
  • Communicates and directs through other superintendent's changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
  • Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
  • Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS relevant curriculum and 10 years of experience in electrical construction, or AA/AS and 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience.  

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Airport experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience as a Superintendent on construction projects with Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
  • Experience in the commissioning and interoperability of Low Voltage equipment, telecom, communications, etc. 
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings, schematics, nomenclature, hazard analysis and construction work plans.
  • Experience in MEP, data center, and other mission critical environments.
  • Experience preparing construction documents, take-offs, scheduling, change orders, etc. 
  • Experience in managing electrical subcontractors. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience with E-Builder software.
  • Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience, and work location. The salary range for the position is $133,500.43 - $246,975.79 annually (exempt).

  • This position does not include relocation.
  • This position is located in Jamaica, Queens, NYC and is not hybrid nor remote.
