The Financial Systems Manager oversees a team of two analysts and reports to the Financial Reporting Director. The Financial Systems Support (FSS) team is responsible for the administration of our core financial systems (d/EPM reporting tool, IBM’s Tririga lease administration software and ServiceNow) and bridges the Finance and IT departments.  The FSS function at APG is in its infancy (<2 years) with room for the manager have a meaningful impact on the development and further buildout of the FSS mission and function.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Department Polices & Procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial system configurations, workflows, and best practices
  • Establish and maintain protocols for data management to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data
  • Establish and uphold internal controls within financial and business systems to mitigate risks and assure data integrity
• Day to Day Support
  • Oversee and direct the creation, management, and automation of key reports / dashboards
  • Responsible for overseeing support and daily governance of financial systems, including opening/closing ERP (M3 and SAP) system modules, addition/modification of users and daily governance in addition to supporting system users
  • Ensure ERP structure, including hierarchy/COA structure, maintenance of existing accounts, execution of entity changes are aligned
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, system errors, and data discrepancies, collaborating with technical support and vendors as necessary
  • Manage user access and adapt security profiles to evolving requirements
• Project Management
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new financial systems, ensuring their upgrade and functionality
  • Collaborate with IT and various teams to implement and uphold integrated reporting, including ERP upgrade from OP to Cloud our divisions
• User Support & Training
  • Provide expert-level technical support to finance and accounting teams, resolving complex issues related to financial systems
  • Facilitate end-user training and respond to ad hoc reporting and inquiries.
• Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of all direct reports to ensure effective and efficient departmental functions
  • Serve as resource, primary advisor, and mentor for all direct reports
  • Provide a goal-oriented work environment with clear and concise work procedures and productivity standards

 

Requirements

 

• Understanding of Finance/Accounting, reporting, data movement and understanding consequences of system changes
• 5+ years supporting information systems, financial information systems, or Finance
• 2+ years of people management experience
• CPA a plus
• Experience in M3, d/EPM, EPM and HFM and related systems and processes, App studio (new version of Crystal) a plus
