Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Jr. is an important member of the Ent HR team and serves as a consultant and trusted business partner to the business unit mid-lower-level leadership on all HR matters. The HR Business Partner Jr will work closely with the HRBP and Employee Relations team to support various HR functions, including resolving complex HR concerns, employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, HR projects/initiatives, and other duties as assigned. The HRBP Jr. is a developing business partner with strong collaboration, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills who has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects. The desired candidate will have experience in several core areas of HR including employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching.
Essential Functions
- HR Partnership and Employee Relations: Partner with (Mid to lower level) business unit leadership and HR Business Partner and Employee Relations team to: Support the organization in executing strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance management, employee relations and engagement. Act as a business partner to improve work relationships, improve employee satisfaction, decrease turnover, and advocate as the employee voice. Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, providing guidance to People Leaders on performance reviews, performance coaching, and Performance Improvement Plans, while displaying a high degree of confidentiality. Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of business units to foster a productive, engaged and diverse workforce. Assist people leaders in facilitation of succession planning conversations, assessing staff readiness and high potentials; and career pathing that builds a solid pipeline for future growth. Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation. Initiate all applicable/assigned human resources actions in HRIS system including supervisor changes, location changes, terminations, etc. Assist People Leaders and/or Employee Relations Partners in handling employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner, resolving complex employee issues, mediating conflicts, advising People Leaders on the best approach, ensuring positive workplace relations. Conduct employee termination meetings, assist with out-processing, including occasionally assisting with exit interviews as needed. Coordinate with and assist Employee Relations Partner and/or People Leaders, as needed, in conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Respond to unemployment claim filings and represent Ent in unemployment claim hearings. Assist employees with FMLA, STD, LTD, and ADA and worker's compensation processes in collaboration with the Employee Relations Partner & Leave Specialist, escalating to HRBPs as needed. Training and Development: Create content, coordinating and facilitating training sessions and workshops applicable to the HRBP role focus areas, identifying training needs, communicating training needs to applicable departments (ex. LCE and tracking employee development progress. Compliance and Policy Implementation: Assist in policy implementation, interpretation, review, and communication. Maintain working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. HR Projects & Initiatives/Other duties as assigned: Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and practices. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze HR data to identify trends and provide insights to People Leaders/HR Leadership, preparing HR metrics and reports, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies, maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HRBP related databases. Employee Engagement: Supporting initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, such as having morning meetings/quarterly meetings with business units, creating surveys and feedback mechanisms, based on business unit need. <
