Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical
Agility RoboticsAbout the role
Agility’s commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical to lead sustaining and continuous improvement initiatives in our robotics manufacturing facility. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize production processes, troubleshoot assembly and design issues on electro-mechanical systems and PCBAs, update electrical designs and implement the engineering changes to drive continuous improvement.
About the Work
- Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Manufacturing Engineering Sustaining team for all electrical components within the Robot, including high-density PCBAs, power distribution units, cable assemblies/harnesses, sensors, and battery systems.
- Diagnose and resolve (debug) manufacturing, field, and design issues with focus on electronic assemblies and components, supporting root cause analysis (RCA) and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformances.
- Collaborate with System and Test Engineering teams to understand, utilize and improve automated scripts and diagnostic tools (Python, C/C++) for flashing firmware, commissioning and testing electronic assemblies.
- Execute electrical design updates using Altium to improve manufacturability, resolve production and design issues, working cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Perform SME-level technical review on all electrical design changes affecting the production robot, evaluating for DFM/DFA/DFT, technical issues, and standard consistency prior to release.
- Drive the validation and implementation of electrical Engineering Change Orders (ECRs & ECOs) by creating test protocols, performing the tests, reporting out the results, and implementing the validated change on the production line.
